On the 9th, Alexis turned three years old! It is so crazy how fast time has flown by and to think how much has happened in such a short time! Alexis has changed our lives so much and she is such a special and smart little girl. She is a great big sister eventhough sometimes she forgets that her sister is still just a baby. She loves to play pretend, sing and dance, color and draw, wear mommy's heels around and so many other fun things. She says she is a princess anytime she wears a dress and says that all girls are princesses. Lexi loves to watch Little Ensteins, Word World, Jake and the NeverLand Pirates and all Disney cartoons. She loves to go shopping with mom and likes her hair to be done with flowers in it eventhough she doesn't always cooperate to get it done. Lexi loves to talk and is constantly singing songs including ones she makes up on her own. She loves to go to nursery at church and recently has been wanting to say every prayer that is said in our house. She has grown up so much and is mommy's little helper. We are so blessed to have this little girl in our lives and she makes each day so much better each time she says, "I love you, so much!"

We had a little family party on the Saturday before her birthday because my grandparents were in town. My cousin Derek came up with my grandparents, and my cousin Nikki and her kids, and my sister and her family all came for the party. It was so nice to be in our house and have so much more room to actually have a party. Lexi wanted a princess Barbie cake so I did my best to produce something that she liked and I also made a Snickers ice cream cake for the adults. The cakes didn't turn out exactly how I envisioned them but at least they tasted good!
On Lexi's birthday we took her to a place in Orem called Pirate Island, which she was very excited about because of one of her new favorite shows called Jake and the NeverLand Pirates. It was actually pretty good food and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was so great though and it really felt like you were at Disneyland in the Pirates of the Carribbean. It has a fun little arcade that Lexi really enjoyed even though a lot of the games only kept her interest for about 2 seconds before she wanted to move onto another one. Overall I think the birthday festivities were a success!
