October Recap

I figured I better give a little recap to the month of October since we have had some crazy stuff during the month. The beginning of the month started with a full outbreak of hives for me. Jaron was on a scout campout, he is the scout master in our ward, and of course it was late at night that I began itching like crazy. I started taking Benadryl and using lots of Calamine lotion. Nothing really helped so after a week of insanity, my doctor put me on a steroid, which also didn’t help. I was clearly about to go crazy at this point since they were so bad, especially at night, and were everywhere. The hives covered my entire body and I even had them on my eyelids and on my lips, which made me have swollen fat lips. Jaron painted me with Calamine lotion and it helped relieve some of the itching but it was very uncomfortable to say the least. A lady in my ward recommended taking Allegra because she took it for hives during one of her pregnancies. So now about 6 weeks later, I still have hives but only at night or in the morning and they aren’t even a fraction of what they were a few weeks ago.

During the middle of the month, we were able to go to a pumpkin patch in South Jordan with Stacy, Jaden and Kysa. The girls all had a lot of fun picking out their own pumpkins and riding on a little hayride around the farm. Afterward we all went to dinner at Chili’s and then got some frozen yogurt.

In September we went down to Vegas for a week so my mom could make Lexi's costume this year since she wanted to be a princess. She did such an amazing job and she really did look like a princess. Luckily Kaylee wore the flapper costume that my mom made a couple of years ago and we were excited Kaylee wore all of her costume including the headband since ususally she wont keep stuff on her head. A week and a half before Halloween we went to Stacy’s ward Trunk or Treat. The girls loved dressing up and going around to the cars and getting candy. Kaylee was a little unsure at first but eventually she was all about picking her own candy and wanted to eat every piece.

The week before Halloween I got really sick and threw up a couple of times. I guess because I am very pregnant the pressure went all to my head. I broke lots of blood vessels in my eyes so I had bloody eyes for about a week. A couple days after being sick, my parents, my brother Thomas and my nephew Austin came up for a visit. We had a lot of fun shopping, making turkeys treats, and carving pumpkins. My dad also helped Jaron with some projects around the house, which we were very grateful for. They all left Sunday morning before Halloween and Saturday night Austin got very sick and threw up all over our guest room. Luckily they made it home without any casualties. Sunday Kaylee threw up about 4 times but after the last time she started acting herself and eating and drinking. We kept her on the BRAT diet and watched her closely on Halloween to see if she would be alright. That night she was still fine and Stacy, Jaden and Kysa came over to go around our neighborhood to Trick or Treat. Luckily it wasn’t too cold so we went around for about two hours. Unfortunately in the middle of the night Alexis started crying saying she was hungry and Jaron went downstairs to check on her. She has been sleeping on the top bunk bed in her room since Austin came so Jaron reached up to get her down and Alexis threw up all over him. I knew something was wrong when I heard Jaron yell through the monitor and I came down to the bathroom to find Jaron’s head and chest completely covered in throw up. Luckily, to his dismay, he saved a lot of the floor from majority of the mess. Her bed pillows and some of the wall weren’t so lucky, but it was still a yucky mess. Needless to say we got very little sleep that night especially because I was doing laundry and cleaning for quite a while. Over the next few days, we all were sick throwing up again except Jaron. He avoided the flu but caught a terrible cold when we were finally all better. He is still recovering from that.

The month of November started a little rough but I just hope the sickness is gone for a while with our new baby coming in only 5 weeks!
