An update with lots of pictures

I thought I should give a quick overview of the last few weeks. Two weeks after Kaylee was born I went with my mom down to Vegas for ten days. It was nice to have my mom helping me for so long and it definitely made the transition from one to two children much easier for me. While we were down there, Lexi and Austin had so much fun together going to the water park and playing together. They also got a little too crazy and loud and often got in trouble when they were together too. We got to celebrate Austin’s 5th birthday and go to Chucky Cheese again. Unfortunately that was right before we came home and I was feeling very sick there. When we got back to my parent’s house I realized I had Mastitis again. We ended up staying a day longer because I was just too sick to get everything packed up in time. Needless to say I will not be nursing again after such a traumatic experience for me.
Jaron’s birthday was on the 4th and I made him a Snickers ice cream cake that was huge, but it was delicious! Unfortunately having such a new baby didn’t allow us to go out, but hopefully we can do that sometime in the future.
Kaylee is two months old on Sunday and is getting so big. She is much bigger than Lexi was at this age and I am sure it is because she is on formula rather than breast milk now. I think she was a little colic until the last couple of weeks and still has some very fussy times but is overall doing great. I have been very lucky because she has been a great little sleeper. At 7 weeks she was already sleeping 8 hours at night, which is awesome. She still has some nights when she wakes up only after 4 or 5 hours but overall allows me enough sleep to function!
Alexis has adjusted quite well and loves her sister very much. She will occasionally get a doll or a stuffed animal and a bottle and feed it while I feed Kaylee. She loves having a little sister but we have to remind her that she is only a baby when she tries to hug her. Alexis is sure growing up too and says things everyday that surprises me. She totally repeats everything I say and has picked up some phrases my mom says as well. We are still working on potty training and I have decided that I don’t think it is ever going to “click” for her. I began the week I found out I was pregnant so it has taken FOR-EV-ER!
As for me I am just trying to lose those last 10 pounds that seem to be lingering. I am still so tired everyday even though I am getting about 6 ½ hours of sleep but it is sure hard to go to the gym at 6:30 a.m. I have been trying to workout at home but that is a juggling game with the girls. I only have a month before my 10-year class reunion so I am trying to work it off fast! Wish me luck!

So stinkin cute! I have the cutest little nieces! I still think that Kaylee looks so much like you. I didn't know that Lexi got a hair cut! Fun for her. I am glad that you updated. Love ya!

Such cute girls! I am so sorry about the mastitis. I had a clogged duct one time and thought I was going to die!
Good for you for only having ten pounds to lose. I am still holding on to my last ten pounds with Hudson…and he is 13 months old!
I am trying to convince Brad to go to the football game and/or family picnic. It will be good to see you and your cute family.

Such cute girls! I think Kaylee looks more like you. It's hard to tell because they change so much so fast. I can't wait to see them and you of course.

I agree with everyone else. Your girls are so cute. I can't believe how fast Kaylee is growing up!

Also, that cake is AMAZING! What kind of frosting did you use on the outside?
